Ananda College celebrates its 125th anniversary on November 1 this year and, as part of the celebrations, the Ananda College Old Boys' Association will be producing a book on the theme of Ananda's many contributions to Sri Lanka's development and progress throughout its illustrious history. It will highlight the pivotal role Ananda played in national education and in many other crucial aspects of nation-building.

This will be the first time a comprehensive account of Ananda's leadership and multi-faceted achievements will be documented. Most definitely a collector's item of lasting value and interest.

The Government will be issuing a special commemorative coin in pure silver in honour of Ananda on Nov 25 - the first time such an honour has been accorded to a school.
